My free form hats are shaped entirely by hand, dispensing with the rigidity of the hand-blocking process, which I use to create my other occasion hats.
Instead, I shape my free form hats directly onto a head-shaped form, called a “Dolly”. This process relies solely on my own creativity and skill as a milliner, and creates a more relaxed, whimsical style to these pieces.
